Tai Chi is made up of a number of elements – flowing sequences of gentle movements, breathing exercises, meditation and visualisation techniques.
Tai Chi is best known for its series of graceful sequences that students learn and practice. As these movements have a self defence application if performed at speed, Tai Chi is called an internal or soft Martial Art. Additionally many of these movements imitate or reflect nature and animals. Traditionally Tai Chi should be taught and practiced to each person's physical and mental needs and capabilities. Our teaching keeps to this tradition as well as embracing Tai Chi's holistic approach.
